I went up to Gettysburg to march in the annual Remembrance Day Parade celebrating Lincoln's Gettysburg Address. My 15 yr old grandson, CJ Foran, made this his first ever event and marched with us. The unit I was with, the 39th NY Infantry, only had four members today so we fell in with the 14th Brooklyn. Here are some pictures my daughter took of the parade. If anyone else was there and would like to share their photos in this thread, by all means feel free. First two are of me and CJ before the start of the parade. The musket I'm carrying is an original 61 Springfield.

It looks like the celebration dodged a bullet, observing the amount of snow still on the ground.
The pictures don't do it justice, the snow still present was a bit of a nuisance. My wife didn't think to wear waterproof footwear and suffered from cold and very wet feet by the end of the day.

Very nice!

Shame the carriage driver and assistant couldn't be bothered to don period costume.
I thought the very same thing! Ruined the photo op for sure. So easy to don some more period correct civilian clothing (wool coat from Goodwill etc. or borrow one if you must- your driving the president!) than what they had on and even easier to exchange the baseball cap for a knit hat or scarf. Too bad for the spectators.
