The day two map is now complete through 10 pm and I added a couple new features I think will add a lot of value. It's still a 'beta' version because there's some stuff missing from menus, and I want to do fit and finish work before calling it version one.

To go straight to the new day two map:

To see the 4-minute demo video on YouTube:

To start at the top level menu which gives you access to day one and day two maps and the videos:

Thank you--now after lots of study, reruns, I might be able to figure out what happened in and around that wheat field during those three hours! Especially now that I can follow the brigades. The map sure underlines that Longstreet's forces didn't attack down the road as ordered but across it. Appreciate all the hard work that had to have gone into this valuable map.

SUPERB !

Just on first run through watching the action in The Wheatfield it gave me me a better sense of the logic of Sweitzer's placement of his brigade on The Stony Hill - The markers on the loop being all being crammed in there combined with the trees that block some of the fields of view and the confusion and timing of the movements in that part of the field made it difficult for me to put it all together.

The final version should be shown at the Visitors Center.

Thank you

Does anyone know where I can get a Hi-Res copy of this map? I want to try to walk McLaw's Division's route to the staging area.
Try this:
  1. Look at this page: http://www.codex99.com/cartography/gettysburg.html
  2. Page down to see the gettysburg map
  3. Click the 'rumsey collection' link
  4. Scroll down in the linked page and you'll see download instructions. Looks like it gives you a sid file, which can be converted to other file types.
