CWT Chickamauga 2018 Tour - the official thread

Yes the the afternoons can be quite warm
We had temperatures in the low 80's in the Houston area today.

On a different note will D. Moore the great proponent of W.S. Rosecrans attend?
I dunno. Had to do a little Googling and CWT search to see what that was about. My interest in Chickamauga and Chattanooga has not gotten to a place where discussions like that appeal to me. Too much unscouted ground left for me.

I'm keeping an eye on this. Would love to attend!
We hope you do. The last 2 years there has been a CivilWarTalk Gathering at Gettysburg in September. This year it is at Chickamauga in late October.

How many members are making their first visit to the Chickamauga National Military Park?

How many members have visited all eight cannon ball pyramids surrounding the battlefield? The monuments are dedicated to four Federal commanders and four Confederate commanders (mortally wounded sites).

Something to wet your whistle......

Enjoy,
Bill

And I bought a Trailhead Graphics map of Chickamauga to study and bring with me, and all of us can use it of course. Should I bring Powell's book of maps too? I have it.
