Civil War replica cannon stolen in Tucson

This is unreal. I will pass this on to my entire CW Artillery network. If enough people get the word out it will make it that much harder for the thieves to sell it.
 
@USS ALASKA I want to Thank You for posting this. I sent this out to 68 of my CW arty brothers and I got reply's from 53 so far and only 6 had heard about it. They ALL will pass it on.
 
Article didn't say if the trailer was padlocked. I hope the cannon is recovered.

Thank you sir - I hope it is of some help. My only fear is that it will be scraped. A meth-head really isn't going to care about it's historical value and wouldn't have the contacts to get max value for it anyway. And where do you put something like that while you are waiting. A shady scrape dealer however...

Civil War era cannon stolen in 2017, found in 2019

KOLD News 13 first broke the story in July 2017, when the cannon was reported missing by Tucson resident Walt Nichols. The full-sized replica field cannon, valued at $20,000 was stolen out of his backyard near 22nd and Alvernon.

Very true. Crack heads only care for the scrap value in this case. Hopefully it was insured ?
