Here is a rarely seen image from the summit of Little Round Top taken during the 1880's looking south towards Big Round Top. Here, Hazlett's Battery is represented by these tubes percariously balanced on "rock carriages". The dapper dandy sitting on the gun appears to be looking across the Valley of Death towards Devil's Den. Included is another more widely circulated view of this scene possiibly taken at the same time looking NW that includes the original 91st Pa monument.

Quite a different landscape than the manicured summit of today. Thanks for the pictures! They always help me to understand the battle better.

Really great photos. It's interesting to see the piled up rocks forming a bit of a wall.
