With a Colt Repeating Rifle; a bayonet and a trusty D-Gard Bowie Knife...a Well armed rebel...!
What CSA regiments in 1861 had a preponderance of Colt repeating rifles and D Guard Knives?
It is fairly evident that the rifle is a prop, the bayonet in the soldier's belt would not fit the Colt Revolving rifle, bayonet for this rifle was a saber bayonet. Bayonet in the belt looks like an 1816.

Not all Colt Revolving Rifles used a saber bayonet, many of the longer versions used socket bayonets. But, as previously stated, the socket bayonet in the referenced photo is not for the revolving rifle shown in the photo.
