Nashville The Battle of Nashville, Tennessee

Before I visited the ACW sites in and around the city of Nashville in 2012, I heard there was not much to see because of urban development. I read and studied books and maps regarding this 1864 battle before my visit. I also purchased Mark Zimmerman's book entitled, "Guide to Civil War Nashville.

I was very impressed with my visit to Fort Negley, Shy's Hill, the National Cemetery and various Confederate cemeteries.

I shall visit again in the near future.

Anyone know where the retreating AoT spent Christmas in 1864?
