Need a little help with this one. I'm trying to find the soldiers & widows pension of John Ruffin Johnson 19th Texas Cavalry. I found the index # but can't locate a copy of the pension. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Andy, Thank You I REALLY appreciate it. I have a fold3 but not an ancestry account. I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and get one sometime in the near future.

Not a problem. I have found both of those services to be very useful, and complement each other.

I guess if I don't eat one day a week I can afford it.:furious:

Ancestry is available free in many public libraries. Or you can sign up for the 1 week free trial and cancel before the free use expires. Be sure you read how to cancel in the terms of use before you sign up, they make it hard for you to find later when you've decided you want to cancel.
