Food Forum received this recipe from Pavel, member from Russia. He asked me to post it. It is Scrambled eggs and he states would be time period 1850 to 1900. I will post exactly as he sent me. Remember he is translating from Russian to English. We thank him very much for this contribution to the Food Forum.

"Scrambled simple.
Ingridenty.
2 to 3 chicken eggs.
sunflower oil 1 bottle or half bottle or a cow (50gram)
pan 1pe flat plain.
Preparation.
pour into the pan is not much oil, or put a lot of butter, razmazyt on the griddle.
beat eggs in a frying pan.
and start to cook on a small fire. cook until tender.
Bon Appetit."

Sauerkraut.
one head of cabbage. (or half of cabbage plug)
salt - one killogram cabbage 10 grams of coarse salt.
one piece of carrot.
one knife.
one table.
and then on what can be cut.
one pot.
a bottle of water (6.2 liters).
Plate diameter pots.

Preparation.
chop finely with a knife in the cabbage right for you kollichestve.
cut a knife a carrot finely.
rub salt and move.
All memory in the pan.
put it all on a plate.
put on a plate with a water bottle.
wait for 4 days. on the fifth day to remove the goods (dish and bottle).
cabbage pierce fork.
wait one day.
ready to be eaten or used in soup.

That is a bit different from what we know but it is really good to get something old school.
