Came across this, 1863 article on Lee's invasion. The writer is justifiably annoyed only a few names have received praise for acts of heroism when there were so many deeds of courage. One in particular I can't believe the press did not pick up.

This is from The Adams County Sentinel, December, 1863.

It's about ' Noble Deeds Of Some Persons ' meaning citizens, not soldiers.

Will add to the ' Citizens ' thread too. Never heard of John Burn's brother in law, Andrew, how strange is that? He deserved some fanfare all by himself.
