Interesting Newspaper Column on Veteran's Pensions

I recently discovered that The Washington Post ran a column in the early 1900's entitled "Points About Pensions." The newspaper had an expert on military pensions respond to letters from the public, and many of the queries were concerning veterans of the Civil War. Here is an example from March 19, 1906:

I have been enjoying this column on Newspapers.com, and it makes for some fascinating reading!

I wish they had published the full names of the people sending in the queries, as I would love to look up more information on some of these people - for example, I would love to know more about the individuals in this query, from February 25, 1907:
