Welcome to this forum Robert! Following me?
Howdy. I actually has an account here a while ago, which I only used once or twice before I lost my login and password. So I created a new account.Welcome to this forum Robert! Following me?
Thanks so much! I'm fond of that picture, too, and would love to photograph them again... but I can't remember where they were! I've gone back twice, but couldn't find them.Welcome aboard. I have seen your "Horse Team" picture of the white percherons taken in Bird in Hand. Love it!
Thank you!Awesomely ethereal!!!!!!!!!!
Welcome from Brrrrmont
Thanks for the welcome.Pretty cool all right! Welcome aboard from an obsessive collector of 19th c. images.
Thank you, but no, this is not HDR. It's a panorama that was 'stitched' together in Photoshop from several images, but they were all taken at the same exposure. Before assembling them in Photoshop, the images were processed in Lightroom to open up the shadows and bring down the highlights, so that's why it seems to have the broad dynamic range typically associated with bracketed HDR images. Is that a HDR effect you used ? Very nicely done
Thank you.A belated welcome from the sunshine state.
Thanks to you all for the warm welcome.
There are several shops in Gettysburg that carry my posters, and a few that carry small selections of my prints (for example, The Jennie Wade House Museum Gift Shop carries some of my images of the house and local monuments to her) but I do not have a public studio or storefront. For now, at least, my website is my primary sales venue.
To answer your other question, I typically use the automated panorama feature in Photoshop CS6, and then use a combination of Lens Correction and Adaptive Wide Angle filters to correct any distortions. That's usually sufficient, even though I typically shoot my sets hand-held in vertical / portrait orientation, and just overlap my shots by eye.
Thank you!Omigosh that's wonderful.
I've tried some panoramas in the past, but they're not even in the same universe as this one. How very, very special.
Thanks very much! I really appreciate that!Hello Robert!
