HAVRE DE GRACE — Independence Day celebrations are always festive and exciting in Havre de Grace with the carnival, parade and fireworks attracting folks from throughout the region and from out-of-state.
But if one were to look back more than a century to the Fourth of July in 1900, Havre de Grace hosted a uniquely monumental Fourth of July celebration.
