Creamy Apple and Squash Soup

1 cup tart green apples, chopped
1 medium butternut squash, peeled, de-seeded, chopped
1 cup onion, chopped
1 quart chicken stock
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon marjoram
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1/2 cup thick cream
nutmeg

Combine apples, squash, onions and chicken stock with seasonings in a large saucepan and cook uncovered 30 to 40 minutes. Add cream just before serving and garnish each bowl with a dash of nutmeg.

A delicious soup for the Fall.
