Does anyone know where a Confederate burial would be for a man who died at General Hospital Danville, Va? I am looking for Pvt William B Langston (or any variation thereof) Co K 16th GA Inf.

William enlisted in Confederate service July 15, 1861 at Columbia County, GA. Company K 16th Regiment Georgia Volunteer Infantry, and died at General Hospital, Danville, Va on September 5, 1862.

I do not live in Va and have no idea where the Confederate dead of Danville were buried during this time. O received a reply on another message board that there is a publication in the Fairfax Va library that may answer my question, but I live in Alabama. Anyone in the area that might be willing to check it out? Leads/info appreciated.

Here is the info about the Fairfax library publication that may contain the answer to my query:
List of Confederate soldiers who died in the Danville, Virginia general hospitals, 1862-1865 by Watkins, Raymond W. VREF 973.76 W This is a typed booklet compiled from hospital lists in the national archives, washington. Names of the deceased are given in alphabetic order with their company and regiment, name of commander, and date of death.

And the link to the page listing http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/library/branches/vr/findingyourcivilwareraancestor.htm
