Standing at right with a group of my friends from the reenactment group known variously as Good's/Douglas' Texas Battery or The North Texas Reenactment Society at Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park, Arkansas, during a living history encampment held there Oct. 6, 1979. Continuing down the line, I'm leaning on Jim Marrs from Fort Worth, best known as the author of Crossfire - The Plot That Killed Kennedy, on which the Oliver Stone movie JFK was partly based; Ed Owens, at the time cartoonist for the Dallas Morning News; and Michael Hubbard, both from Dallas.
