The Beverly Hills Supper Club fire in Southgate, Kentucky, is the third deadliest nightclub fire in U.S. history. It occurred on the night of May 28, 1977, during the Memorial Day holiday weekend. A total of 165 people died and more than 200 were injured as a result of the blaze.

The Beverly Hills Supper Club was located on a hill which used to contain the American Civil War Groesbeck Batteries 1 and 2.

In the fall of 1862, Federal Brigadier General Lew Wallace was ordered to construct assorted forts and batteries surrounding the hills of Northern Kentucky to protect the city of Cincinnati, Ohio from a possible Confederate invasion.
