Rifled musket, but that's as close as I can get….

Edit - It is a rifled musket, but you needed to be more specific.

Appears to be a Model 1863 U. S. Rifle Musket. Cannot see the lockplate markings but it could have been made the U. S. Armory at Springfield or by one of the private contractors (Jenks, Mason, Norris & Clement, Remington or Savage).

Edit - Correct, CWDF. I see you have played the trivia game before, though it was quite a while ago.

answer : Bridesburg 1861 rifled percussion musket (with Model 1863 modifications)

Edit - This is a difficult question for me to score, because I am not an expert on firearms.

Based on links provided by the players, it appears that it could be described as either a Bridesburg or a Springfield, either 1861 or 1863. I will give credit for answers that include either or both of those locations and either or both of those dates.
