“Steady on the Colors” by Troiani

It is, but rallying on the colors meant the regimental flag, not necessarily the CBF.

I would love to have Troiani prints, but the walls in mancave is books. I am not allowed to encroach into HER space with paintings I like.

Most Confederate regiments in the AoNV did not carry regimental and national colors like most Northern regiments did. They were issued just one AoNV battle flag. There were exceptions, like the 1st and 5th Texas Infantry carrying their own battle flags and AoNV battle flags.

Can anyone figure out what those buildings are in the background? This looks like Miller's cornfield at Antietam, although it could be Piper's cornfield behind the sunken road. What also makes me lean toward the latter is what looks like apple trees in the background, which could be Piper's apple orchard behind the sunken road.
