Outstanding! Your gg uncles and mine were in the same Company D. My ancestor Capt.John Bevell(real spelling is Beville) was wounded at Gettysburg(Picketts' Charge),and later,captured at Petersburg,Va....He took the oath and came back home to Franklin County,later he moved to Texas. 3rd.Lt. Thomas H. Baggett of Co.D was mortally wounded at Petersburg and died at home in 1864.... 2 other relatives in Co.D(Baggett cousins) were 2 brothers, Pvts. Daniel & George Weaver.... Daniel enlisted at Ridgeville,Tenn. in 1861,was wounded at Seven Pines in 1862...Captured at Winchester (1863) and sent to Ft.Delaware where he was exchanged (1864) after signing the loyalty oath....His brother George deserted at Flynt Hill,Va. in 1863,surrendered 2 months later in Ky. and released from McLean Barracks on 9/26/1863 after taking the oath. They were all from around Winchester,Franklin Cty,Tenn.
