Trivia Game # 53 - Week 3



Here are the questions for Week 3 of Game # 53

1. Post-war, this cavalryman kept of pack of greyhounds which he used for hunting. Name him.

2. Built on consignment to a Confederate agent, two ironclad warships were seized by the British government in 1863. What were the two sister ships to be named in the Confederate navy?

3. Buried at Arlington Cemetery, this sculptor was famous for statues of Abraham Lincoln and David Farragut, among others. Name the sculptor.

4. A popular entertainer of the day, his costume resembled that of a famous American icon. He financed a monument to Union soldiers in a Northwest Pennsylvania town where he lived. Name him.

5. When the war began. he enlisted as a private in infantry regiment. He would record the last words of a famous Civil War general. Post-war he became the president of a prominent professional society. Name him.
