Default Trivia Game # 53 - Week 1

Time to begin a new game. New players are welcome to join the game at any time, but the first week of any game is always an especially good time. Give it a try, it's just for fun.

Here are the questions for Week 1 of Game # 53

1. This Union spy died as a result of biting his tongue. Name him.

2. Designed by a New York militia general in 1860, this weapon would simultaneously fire several dozen bullets. Though one or more of these may have been purchased by the Confederates, there is no record of its use during the war. Name the weapon.

3. A Union general and Mexican-American war veteran, as a politician before the war he was shot while making a speech and retaliated using a Bowie knife to cut off the nose and ear of his attacker. Name him.

4. What type of fortification takes its name from the French word for an orbiting object?

5. A colonel and brevet brigadier who commanded a Zouave regiment, he was murdered by his son in the twentieth century. Name him.

Answers are due by 6pm (eastern) on Saturday, May 17. Good Luck!
