It took a while to investigate some of your answers, especially on #5 where no one gave the answer I was expecting, but we had some great, but not correct, answers from Oxkern and Sockknitter, and one exellent answer from Gay Mathis!
On #1, by the way, I have found that some of the same photos of the 93rd New York Infantry are attributed to Gardiner at one website and to O'Sullivan on another. I found no evidence that Gardner may have been a 1st Lt. in that regiment or any regiment, while I found 2 or 3 sources for O'Sullivan.
Maybe someone can tell m how to put that little tick (Whatever it's called) over the 'e' of Jose.
Big Congrats this week to Gay Mathis for a perfect score in a tough week! (and for providing the second correct, and maybe better, answer to #5.)
