(By the way, if any of you has wondered why I highlight in red the incorrect answers, I want to tell you that it is not meant to embarrass or ridicule, etc. the player, it is simply a means by which, at the end of the week, I can more easily determine the scores, as I check the answers during the week as they come in, rather than waiting till the end of the week.)
Here are the questions for Week 2:

He was elected captain of a cavalry regiment in 1861, and, as a colonel, led this regiment at Shiloh. Promoted to brigadier in 1863, he was wounded and captured in Florida in 1865. In the 1870’s, he was killed in a gun fight with an inebriated ex-Union officer. A town in his adopted state, with an unusual water tower, was named for him. Name him.
3. When Stonewall Jackson’s forces shelled a Union garrisoned town for 2 straight days, this general refused a surrender request delivered by Col. Turner Ashby.
Jackson withdrew. Name the general.
4. This January, 1863 battle was the North-Westernmost to take place during the Civil War. Name the battle.
5. A Confederate general somewhat restored his tarnished reputation for his performance at Gettysburg, when forces under his command captured a high ranking Union general and 600 Union soldiers in an 1864 battle. Name the general and the battle.

5. James Longstreet, Chickamauga (a pure guess - when I requested the clarification, I was assuming I would eventually be able to figure out which battle you were talking about, but I came up dry searching for an 1864 battle in which a high-ranking Union general and 600 of his soldiers were captured.) INCORRECT
1. 1st Alabama Cavalry (USV) 2. Brigadier General James Holt Clanton 3. Brigadier General Frederick West Lander 4. Battle of Bear River 5. General Richard Stoddard Ewell —Battle of the Wilderness INCORRECT
