I got the feeling that players were having some trouble with this week's questions when only 2 responses came back by Thursday. I think this is the first time since Week 1 of Game 47, that there were no perfect scores. That week, there was one question that no one could answer correctly (Hot Springs). This week, there was at least one correct answer for each question. Well, Week 3 should be a bit easier .... we'll see!

Here are the answers for Week 2 of game #50:

At Hancock, Maryland in January, 1862, Brigadier General Frederick West Lander replied to then colonel, Turner Ashby, who had been sent across the Potomac to request Lander’s surrender, with the threat that the town would be bombarded: “Colonel Ashby, give my compliments to General Jackson and tell him to bombard and be d***ed. If he opens his batteries on this town, he will injure more of his friends than he will of the enemy, for this is a d***ed secesh place, anyhow.”
