Default Request clarification on question 3

Question 3 asks for the number of men who "had been" national presidents.

Should we assume that the correct answer does not include anyone who was a national president in 1861?

1. Philip Kearny – Fort Phil Kearny (Wyoming), Fort Kearny (Nebraska), Fort Kearny (Washington, DC) INCORRECT (Brig. Gen. USV 17 May 1861, d. 1 Sept. 1 1862)

2. Birge’s Sharpshooters, Western Sharpshooters, Squirrel Tails (http://www.michiganinthewar.org/westhist.htm)

3. (The dreaded multiple answer)
The correct answer to this question could be either three or four. By the time I realized this, it was too late to ask for a clarification as to whether we should count an interim president.

So, if you’re not counting an interim president, my answer is three – Jeff Davis (CSA), John Tyler (USA), Sam Houston (Republic of Texas).

If you are counting the interim president, then my answer is four, because David Burnet (interim president of Republic of Texas) can be added to the above list. My source for Burnet is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_G._Burnet

4. Don’t know INCORRECT

5. Don’t know INCORRECT
