The answers to the questions for Week 2:
6. The lawman in question was Wyatt Earp. His soldiers brothers were: Newton J. Earp, Co. F, 4th Regiment, Iowa Cavalry; James C. Earp, Co. F, 17th Illinois Infantry (wounded); Virgil W. Earp, Co. C, 83rd Illinois infantry. (ewc says Newton was the wounded brother. It was James, but the question did not ask which was injured. Sarladaise put a different spin on the question naming Morgan as the “lawman 4th brother”. Morgan (younger than Wyatt) was a lawman, and so the answer is correct.)

7. Eli Lilly

8. Adam Rankin Johnson (How many of you found the answer by right clicking on the image?)
He is best known for his "Stovepipe" raid into Indiana, but he probably should be more respected as to his post-war career. He was blinded in the war, (hence, I think, the odd photo) but in spite of this handicap went on to found and develop a town in Texas named Marble Falls (nicknamed "Blind Man's Town).

9. 1841 and 1846, 20 generals (My primary source for this was
http://sunsite.utk.edu/civil-war/wpclasses.html ) How to score this?, I’m giving everyone who had any part of the answer correct, because I found much confusing and conflicting information on this (just one example: John Gibbon and A. P. Hill counted in the class of ‘46, tho they graduated in ‘47)
10. John Pope, to the everlasting gratitude of all men (and women?) whether in or out of uniform.
(I was surprised that so many found the answer, for the sources are scarce, for me at least. Here are mine:

Also 3 books search-able either thru Amazon Books ‘Search Inside’ feature -
Duty, Honor, Country: A History of West Point by Stephen Ambrose, or thru the Google ‘Book search’ function -
The Army of the Potomac: McClellan takes Command, September 1861 - February 1862 by Russel Beatie, and
Sherman: Fighting Prophet by Lloyd Lewis.
I’d be interested in what other sources the players found this information.)
For those of you who named John Newton, you all must know something I don’t know. Send the sources for Newton.
