Well, it didn't take a great deal of effort to moderate the responses to the questions for Week 3, as there were only four participants for the week.

Here are the answers to the questions for Week 3.

11. Nathaniel Banks, whose military skills didn’t measure up to his political skills, became Speaker of the House in 1856 and Governor of Massachusetts in 1858.

12. A cannon tube pointed upward indicates the location of a headquarters established during the battle.

13. After his leg was amputated due to a wound he suffered at the Battle of Gettysburg, Daniel Sickles had the leg preserved and eventually presented it to the museum, where he used to go (sometimes with a group of friends) to visit his leg. The leg bones are now on display at the National Museum of Health and Medicine in Washington, DC.

14. Castle Pinckney at Charleston, which was run by the Charleston Zouaves and had a reputation for being more sanitary and more comfortable than other Civil War prisons, acquired this nickname.

15. Gen. Joseph K. Barnes, Surgeon General of the U.S. at war’s end, treated Lincoln and Garfield after both were shot by assassins.

The scores at the end of Week 3:

FIRST DIVISION

SamGrant 18
Sarladaise 18
ewc 12

SECOND DIVISION

Rad2duhbone53 18
Sockknitter 15
Texaswildcat 6
