After three weeks of play, Robert B. Condon and SamGrant continue to share the lead in the First Division. In the Second Division, Texaswildcat edged a little closer this week, but Rad2duhbone53 still leads that division.

Here are the answers to the questions for Week 3.

11. H. Judson Kilpatrick, known for his aggressiveness resulting in high casualties, was called “Kill Cavalry.”

12. Salem Church was the makeshift fort.

13. Chantilly was the name of a country mansion near the site of the battle.

14. The Rangers were recruited to capture John Mosby (and as many of his guerrillas as they could). They were unsuccessful.

15. The communication problem was caused by the lack of a mast. The common method of naval communication was to run signal flags up the mast - and ironclads didn’t have masts.

The scores at the end of Week 3:

FIRST DIVISION

Robert B. Condon 18
SamGrant 18
Sarladaise 17

SECOND DIVISION

Rad2duhbone53 15
Ginefur4 13
Texaswildcat 13
20thMass 6
ewc 6
Miss Markie 6
Brandklipparen 5

FYI, my alternatives on #13 were 'mansion', 'post office', 'tavern'; all of which were mentioned somewhere.
