Default Trivia Game # 40 - Week 4

Here are the questions for Week 4 of Game # 40.

16. A. P. Hill’s arrival late in the afternoon at the Battle of Antietam (Sharpsburg) helped to save the day for Lee’s army. Hill’s advance was all the more effective due to confusion among the Union troops caused by the fact that many of Hill’s troops were not wearing the customary color of uniform. What color were they wearing?

17. Stratford Hall was the birthplace of what Civil War general?

18. What prominent Union military figure had been the prewar employer of Gen. Ambrose Burnside?

19. James Brown McCaw headed what important Richmond institution?

20. (Two point question) A Confederate dispatch boat named the America sank off the coast of South Carolina in 1862. What prize had the boat won eleven years earlier?

Answers to the questions for Week 4 will be due by 6 PM EDT on Saturday, July 29.

Good luck!

Default Clarification on Question 20

A couple of people have responded to question 20 by naming the event that the boat in question won in 1851.

As a result of winning that event, a very specific prize was awarded. The correct answer to this question must name the prize, not the event.
