I didn't considr my anaswer a multiple answer.

If one said "general X attacked general Y AND defeated his entire army" would that be considered a multiple answer?

They go together, just as in this case.

(wish I could log in from my own computer.........)

As I expected might happen, both Traveller and SamGrant have cited a source for the information that Stevens was the first Federal officer to enter Richmond and that he led two companies of cavalry into the city. Traveller, SamGrant, and Texaswildcat all get two points for their answers to question 10, which means we now have a three-way tie for first place in the Second Division.

Sam, the reason I had to rule yours a multiple answer is because you said both that Stevens was the first Federal officer to enter the city and that he raised the first U.S. flag. My source said he raised the first U.S. flag, but did not mention that he was the first to enter the city. I considered that it was conceivable that somebody else could have been the first Federal officer to enter the city and that that other person ordered Stevens to run up the flag - and if that had been the case, the first part of your answer would have been wrong. Therefore, I had to ask you to give me a source verifying that Stevens was the first to enter the city.

The revised scoreboard at the end of Week 2:

FIRST DIVISION

Robert B. Condon 10
SamGrant 5

SECOND DIVISION

Rad2duhbone53 12
Texaswildcat 12
Traveller 12
bgl1952 11
Gary 11
ewc 6
TomH 5
