Sorry to be so late posting this week's answers. The deadline for appeals will be extended one day this week.

The answers to the questions for Week 2:


6. Davis’ 5-year-old son Joe was killed in a fall off a balcony at the Confederate White House.

7. H. Judson Kilpatrick was the co-author of "Allatoona."

8. Gen. Joseph Wheeler was known as "Fighting Joe." (Those who waited till near the end of the week may have gotten a pretty good hint from one of the threads on the Campfire Chat.)

9. Philip Sheridan was the general and military governor who chose the name of Fort Sill.

10. Louis M. Goldsborough was the Flag Officer who commanded the ships.
