21- Reynolds's successor of the I Corps- 3rd Division commander and reputed founding father of baseball- Maj Genl Abner Doubleday, who performed very well this day, helping to save the Union's hide on Day 1;
22- Peace Conference met at Willard's Hotel, a prominent Washington meeting place and watering hole;
23- Battle of Front Royal, 1st Maryland USA met 1st Maryland CSA;
24- Irish Brigade chaplain Holy Cross (C.S.C.) Father William Corby;
25- Brig Genl James Alexander Walker as a cadet at VMI not only challenged his erstwhile professor Old Jackto a duel but actually tried to kill him, dropping a heavy object from an upper story window as Jackson was passing underneath.
