This one was tricky - This person wasn't listed as being part of the crew, however this was his station - stationed on the USS Monitor - He was an african american and his name was Thomas L. Taylor - died March 7, 1932 at the age of 84 years old. (I found evidence that another person was the oldest, but I found that he died July 16, 1931 which would discredit him as being the last survivor - Charles H. Holt at 83 years old - Taylor outlived him by 8 months)
A black sailor by the name of Thomas Taylor, was the last survivor of the Union ironclad Monitor. He died in 1932 at the ripe old age of 84.
I'm sure some of you will protest the scoring from yesterday's question, you may have found the question to be vague. Email me if you think your answer was correct, we can discuss scoring adjustments.
Hope you all had a nice weekend, we are getting snow her in eastern PA. Have about an inch or so on the ground already. Stay warm, see you for trivia tomorrow.
