Acoustic Shadow

A pocket of silence around a battle when the sounds could be heard further away. This phenomenon was said to have been caused by abnormal atmospheric conditions.

(Mike, I DO NOT want extra points for any contributions you use...I have a little extra time this morning and just want to help out with this project..)
