Born February 27 1823, Middletown OH
Died November 5 1892, Hamilton OH
Pre-War Profession Lawyer, Mexican war, county sheriff.
War Service September 1861 Col. of 35th Ohio, advance on Corinth, Perryville, Stone's River, commanded 3rd Bde/3rd Divn/XIV Corps at Chickamauga, led his regiment at Missionary Ridge, commanded 2nd Bde/3rd Divn/XIV Corps in Atlanta campaign, October 1864 appointed Brig. Gen. of Volunteers, commanded 1st Bde/2nd Divn/XIV Corps at Huntsville.
Post War Career Lawyer, judge.
