TAYLOR, Joseph Pannell USA


Born May 4 1796, Louisville KY
Died June 29 1864, Washington DC
Pre-War Profession War of 1812, commissioned Lt in US Army 1816, Mexican war, Lt. Col. and Asst commissary general.
War Service September 1861 Col. and commissary general, February 1863 appointed Brig. Gen. of Volunteers.
Notes Brother of President Zachary Taylor.
