TERRY, Henry Dwight USA


Born March 16 1812, Hartford CT
Died June 22 1869, Washington DC
Pre-War Profession Lawyer, served in Michigan state militia.
War Service June 1861 Col. of 5th Michigan, Peninsula campaign, Seven Pines, July 1862 appointed Brig. Gen. of Volunteers, commanded Terry's Bde at Suffolk, commanded 3rd Divn/VI Corps on the line of the Rappahannock, in charge of the prison at Johnson's Is., resigned February 1865.
