Raccoons (mascots)

Both the 12th Wisconsin and the 104th Pennsylvania kept a raccoons as mascots.....

I'm sorry but where ever you got your information from it is wrong. The 12th Wisconsin had a black bear as a mascot. His name was Bruin and was a pet of Stephen Squires of Company E.
