Died January 5 1903, New York NY
Pre-War Profession 1856 appointed 2nd Lt. in US Cavalry, frontier service.
War Service August 1861 Capt., transferred to 4th US Cavalry, Stone's River (w), February 1863 Col. of 4th Ohio Cavalry, Tullahoma campaign, commanded 2nd Bde/2nd Divn/Cavalry in Chickamauga campaign, Atlanta campaign, August 1864 appointed Brig. Gen. of Volunteers, Nashville, commanded the 2nd Divn in Wilson's raid, Selma (w).
Brevet Promotions Brig. Gen. U.S.A. March 13 1865, Maj. Gen. U.S.V. March 13 1865, Maj. Gen. U.S.A. March 13 1865.
Post War Career Army service, retired 1867, lawyer, borough recorder.
