KEIM, William Hugh USA


Born June 25 1813, nr Reading PA
Died May 18 1862, Harrisburg PA
Pre-War Profession Militia officer, politician, US congressman, surveyor-general of Pennsylvania.
War Service 1861 as Maj. Gen. of Pennsylvania Volunteers was second in command to Patterson in the Shenandoah Valley, December 1861 appointed Brig. Gen. of Volunteers, commanded 2nd Bde/Casey's Divn/IV Corps at Williamsburg, died of "camp fever".
