Gen. of Volunteers - not confirmed by Senate, regimental command at Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, joined Hooker's expedition to Chattanooga.
Brevet Promotions Brig. Gen. U.S.V. March 2 1865.
Post War Career Civil servant in Treasury, charge with theft of public monies - charges dropped, customs inspector in Central America, customs agent. |
