Born August 22 1834, Natchez MS
Died August 23 1900, Malvern, England
Pre-War Profession Lawyer
War Service May 1861 organised the Warren Rifles - later in 19th Mississippi, Capt., Maj., Williamsburg, Seven Days, Second Manassas, Sharpsburg, Lt. Col., April 1863 Col., Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, January 1864 Brig. Gen., commanded Harris’s Bde/Mahone's Divn at Spotsylvania, Petersburg, March 1865 commanded the inner defences of Richmond, Appomattox.
Post War Career Lawyer, railroad president, businessman.
