Died July 14 1891, Waco TX
Pre-War Profession Lawyer, Mexican War, politician, Capt. of volunteer militia.
War Service 1862 Capt. in 8th Texas Cavalry (Terry's Texas Rangers), November 1862 Col., Murfreesboro, commanded 2nd Bde/Wharton’s Cavalry Divn at Chickamauga, Chattanooga, Knoxville, commanded Harrison’s Bde/Hume’s Cavalry Divn in Atlanta campaign, Sherman's March to the Sea, January 1865 Brig. Gen., Carolinas campaign.
