Pre-War Profession Politician, Mexican war.
War Service September 1861 Col. of 7th Kentucky, WildCatMountain, RichmondKY, November 1862 appointed Brig. Gen. of Volunteers, Vicksburg campaign, commanded detachments in Kentucky, mustered out April 1864.
Post War Career Farmer, salt works owner.
