Died April 8 1894, Washington DC
Pre-War Profession Lawyer, politician.
War Service may 1861 Lt. Col. on staff of Iowa governor Kirkwood, August 1861 Col. of 18th Iowa, garrison duty, Camden expedition, September 1864 appointed Brig. Gen. of Volunteers, commanded a brigade and then division in Fort Smith AR.
