Pre-War Profession
War Service December 1861 Capt. in 7th New York Cavalry, August 1862 Col., served in the Suffolk area, November 1862 appointed Brig. Gen. of Volunteers, did not have the confidence of his superiors, resigned June 1863, served as a volunteer to quell the New York draft riots.
Post War Career Businessman.
