Died May 20 1874, Washington DC
Pre-War Profession Graduated West Point 1837, Mexican war, ordnance service.
War Service August 1861 Capt. and superintendent of the Springfield Armory, September 1864 appointed Brig. Gen. in Regular Army and chief of ordnance.
Brevet Promotions Maj. Gen. U.S.A. March 13 1865.
Post War Career Army service in charge of the Springfield Armory.
