Pre-War Profession Lawyer, Seminole war, US congressman, Mexican war, state governor.
War Service June 1862 appointed Brig. Gen. of Volunteers, resigned January 1863.
Post War Career Was prevented by Republican Radicals from taking his seat in Congress.
