War Service 1861 Capt. of 1st Tennessee, Mill Springs, March 1862 Col. of 6th Tennessee, Cumberland Gap, Stone's River, Chickamauga, Chattanooga, Atlanta campaign, July 1864 appointed Brig. Gen. of Volunteers, commanded 1st Bde/2nd Divn/XXIII Corps, Franklin, Nashville.
Brevet Promotions Maj. Gen. U.S.V. March 13 1865.
Post War Career Internal revenue collector, farmer.
